Universal and compact FEHLMANN milling machine PICOMAX 56 TOP with an entirely innovative TOP operating concept (Touch Or Program, patent-registered).

FEHLMANN presents at the METAV Dusseldorf 2012 the completely new developed milling machine
PICOMAX 56 TOP, equipped with an entirely innovative operating concept using the FEHLMANN TOP-functions (Touch Or Program, patent-registered), which achieves the high standards in the medical technology: simple to operate, versatile, rapid and economical.
The innovative TOP operating concept allows the machine to be used both for CNC controlled 3-axis machining as well as using the electromechanical drilling lever plus the two handwheels for manual operation. Milling, drilling and threading operations on single parts and pre-series are executed quickly, reliably and efficiently without time-consuming programming.
This modern, highly productive and simply to operate machine tool „Made in Switzerland“ is ideally suited for research and development in the medical technology. The small footprint as well as the small transportation dimensions, allowing the machine to be dismantled in such a way that it can be transported through a door of only 85 cm width, are other advantages of the new FEHLMANN machine.
An excellent cost/performance ratio could have been achieved, by a rigorously market targeting of precise single parts and small series manufacturer.
The PICOMAX 56 TOP offers already in the basic model features of a modern, highly productive milling machine such as fully digital Heidenhain TNC 620, FEHLMANN in-house cooled and high-torque motor spindle for universal milling up to 12'000 rpm as well as Z/S-interpolation thread cutting, 3D milling, boring, etc…
Together with the direct measuring systems provided as standard, the latest machining methods can be realized with optimal precision. The machine can also be delivered as option with an automatic tool changer for 20 or 30 tools, a dividing unit for 4-axis machining as well as further versatile options.
Also following FEHLMANN machines are shown in Dusseldorf: Fehlmann multimachine solution: a 5-axes high speed machining centre PICOMAX 825 VERSA and a 5-axes vertical machining centre PICOMAX 60-HSC are served from one Robot. The operating ergonomics of the automated system is one of its outstanding characteristics. The system has been developed for the efficient machining of single parts and prototypes as well as for series part production. The workpiece loading system ERM is extremely universal and can virtually be configured to match each and any of your applications.
