BELFOR DeHaDe and Rothenpieler pool expertise in a potent team

At the METAV 2010 trade fair, AutoTec Automatisierungstechnik and BELFOR DeHaDe are showcasing their successful collaboration in the sophisticated machine modernisation and repair segment. AutoTec Automatisierungstechnik, a Rothenpieler group company, specialises in equipping, servicing and modernising large machine tools and manufacturing plants. BELFOR DeHaDe is an expert in repairing and restoring all types of machinery. AutoTec and BELFOR DeHaDe first worked together several years ago, when AutoTec was looking for a specialist to maintain its own pool of large machines. AutoTec decided in favour of BELFOR DeHaDe. The initial, relatively small maintenance orders enabled BELFOR DeHaDe to demonstrate its capabilities. Before long, the Rothenpieler group was utilising the full range of services provided by the company, which disposes of compelling expertise in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic engineering, as well as measuring technology. DeHaDe also employs specialists in materials handling systems, safety technology, drive systems and other fields. It offers competencies in quality assurance, FMEA, CE labelling, new machine directives and warranty issues.

A milestone was reached in the two companies' collaboration with a project to refit a TOS drill press for a new use. It required a modern control, new switch cabinets, complete rewiring and an experienced machine builder to perform the work in partnership. Cooperation was essential because the task also entailed modifying the machine geometry and renewing hydraulic and pneumatic components. BELFOR DeHaDe completed its part of the order, which entailed overhauling two drill presses for 450,000 euros, within four months. Once the mechanical rebuild was finished, AutoTec played its part by renewing the drives, measuring systems, switch cabinets and controls. BELFOR DeHaDe and AutoTec complement each other very well. DeHaDe's experts provide the necessary machine geometry skills and an extensive knowledge of machine tools. AutoTec, in turn, specialises in modernising PLCs, visualisation systems and CNC controls. It is also highly skilled in machining and handling large parts. In concert, the two companies offer a very extensive array of machine-related services. They have forged a potent team and see every reason to continue working together in the future.
